South Ferriby Flood Risk

Some parts of South Ferriby are at risk of flooding although this is not as great as you may think looking at the huge expanse of water in the Humber. There has been little or no flooding in living memory apart from around the immediate vicinity of the Hope & Anchor. With the advent of climate change and a greater focus on environmental issues the Parish Council has prepared a flood contingency plan for those living on lower ground.

For more information regarding the Flood Plan including important telephone numbers see our Contact List below.

Flood Contingency Plan

The Flood Contingency Plan is still being prepared and will be available online as soon as possible. In the meantime, if you have any concerns please contact Sara Haddon or Roy Hollaway via the Clerk on 01652 637 325 or by email (see Contact Us page for details).

Register with Floodline 0845 988 1188 – the flood warning system run by the Environment Agency. They will telephone you with an automatic flood warning. If you do not have a telephone ask a neighbour if they will tell you when there is a Flood Warning.
